Thank you all so much for sticking with yoga practice, and with me, through such a challenging time. It has been my absolute pleasure to be your teacher, and learn new ways to do yoga during this pandemic. I’m looking forward to meeting new challenges and keeping practice going into 2021.

I hope everyone is coping with the continuing challenges of living in a pandemic. Yoga is a great tool to have around to help us with our daily stresses and struggles, so let me know if you’d like to drop in to a class and you’re not receiving weekly emails.
I’m starting a new mailing list in January – if you’re on my current mailing list you’ll need to sign up again for online classes in the new year. To get on the mailing list for classes in 2021, click here.
We’re only 3 weeks away from the Christmas break – I’ll be teaching up to and including the 18th, starting back up again 5/1/21.
I’m taking a week off to deal with a bereavement, so all online and in-studio classes with me are paused for the week. Tuesday and Thursday morning at Bristol Yoga Centre are being covered by the lovely Naomi, all other classes will resume the following week (9/11/20)
From Tuesday (8/9/20), I’ll be back to a couple of studios for in-person classes. Here’s the schedule:
Tuesday 10.00-11.00 @ Bristol Yoga Centre
Wednesday 10.30-11.30 @ Bristol YogaSpace
Thursday 10.00-11.00 @ Bristol Yoga Centre
Friday 13.00-14.00 @ Bristol YogaSpace
All in-studio classes have to be pre-booked through the studios’ website, so click through to class you want, find me on the timetable & book ahead! All my in-studio classes will have an online option as well. And I’ll still be running Zoom classes from my living room on Wednesday evening and Friday morning (details here)
There are some new procedures in place to make sure plenty of distance is maintained when in the studio, and plenty of advice on the studio websites to ensure we all stay safe. Check the individual studio websites for an easy checklist of things to do before and after an in-studio class.

I hope you’re all having a lovely 2 weeks off, and looking forward to the bank holiday weekend. I’ll be starting up classes via Zoom next week from Wednesday (2/9/20). I’ll be running four online community classes a week – two on Wednesday evening and two on Friday morning. I’ll send out joining details every week via email; if you haven’t already, you can sign up for the weekly updates here.
Wednesday 6.00pm – 7.00pm (Hatha)
Wednesday 7.15pm – 8.15pm (Flow)
Friday 10.00am – 11.00am (Hatha)
Friday 11.15am – 12.15am (Flow)
Hatha classes will be the usual posture-based, breath-centred practice, with some meditation. The Flow classes will be a stronger posture-based practice – if you’ve not given it a try yet, now might be the time!
I’ll be asking for a £8 donation for each class (or if you want to attend two classes back to back £12). As with classes over the summer, if payment is an issue then get in touch: I’m happy to offer reduced rates.
In-Studio classes are back soon too (starting 8/9/20), and booking is open! Check Bristol Yoga Centre and Bristol YogaSpace websites for details and booking – I’ll make a longer post about studio classes soon.
Hope you are all doing well, I feel like we’re getting into the swing of things online. I’m really enjoying teaching you all through this challenging time, and you’ve all been so generous with your donations & your lovely feedback. Thank you for all your lovely messages, and thank you on behalf of the charities we’ve managed to donate to over the last few months.
As I’d usually take a break from teaching earlier in the year, but because of lockdown I haven’t had any time off. I’m going to pause my online classes for the last 2 weeks of August (17th-28th inclusive), and restart (perhaps with a slightly different schedule) in September. Some of my weekly classes may be returning to the studio in September, so keep your eyes on the website!
A quick post to reassure those of you who are enjoying online classes with me – I’m not stopping them any time soon! I’ve been having conversations with you all, my lovely students, and with the various places I work from, and the overall feeling is that coming to class physically is impossible in the short term, and logistically difficult/impractical in the long term. The earliest I’ll be back to teaching in my usual spots is likely to be September – if things don’t change.
And to those of you who have been coming to class thank you – practising some yoga with you all is the highlight of my week, and you’ve all been so generous with your donations. Because of your generosity I was able to donate a third of my earnings from last month to SARI UK and a third to the international Black Lives Matter movement.
I can’t wait to see you all in class over the next few months!
